FiOS is “Future Proof”

FiOS technology is delivered by Verizon. It is a high speed fiber optic system capable of delivering high-speed internet and HDTV service. Many areas have FiOS networks in use and more coverage is on the way, courtesy of Verizon. Fiber optic cabling is expensive to install and Verizon has spent more than twenty billion dollars on laying the cables necessary to deliver its services. Many investors have put money into the product in the hopes that one day it will pay off.

Higher demand for high-speed connections
With higher demand for high speed content delivery, Verizon is well-prepared to fill customer need. Cable companies do not have end to end fiber wiring and are going to struggle to catch up for some time. There is a move, among cable companies, to limit customer’s bandwidth, while at the same time Verizon is working to increase bandwidth to their customers. Additionally, FiOs technology is competitively priced. In the markets where it goes head-to-head with cable and DSL it is becoming the wisest choice.

Video on-demand
The future of online content delivery will be applications that require higher connection speeds. Many companies are now offering video on-demand packages online. Youtube, has a FiOS only service that streams content directly to your HDTV. Verizon itself offers the only fiber optic TV service available, FiOsTV, which has Hi-Definition programming and video on demand. On Demand content delivery is very attractive to many people because it gives you a choice of when to watch programming. In out increasingly busy lives people like to have an option of when they get their entertainment. Another area poised for growth in the future is online 3-D gaming. FiOs technology will be an important part of the growth in that area too. Fast networks are the future and presently FiOs is the fastest networking technology available.

Be sure to find FiOS deals on the internet before signing  up.
